Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Z Fold 7 on July 9 during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Ahead of this announcement, new leaks have emerged, offering a closer look at design changes, color choices, and internal configurations for the foldable flagship.
Images believed to be official press renders have surfaced, suggesting a redesigned, thinner Galaxy Z Fold 7. Published by Android Headlines, the renders display the phone in two shades—Blue Shadow and Jet Black. Additional color variants could also be part of the launch lineup, although specifics remain unconfirmed.
When compared side-by-side with its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the upcoming model appears to have a noticeably slimmer frame. Estimates place its thickness between 3.9mm and 4.5mm, indicating a significant reduction in girth. A thinner design could also translate into a lighter build, potentially improving usability during extended use.
Samsung has previously hinted that the next-generation Fold model would be its most compact and lightweight foldable yet, which aligns with the recent visual leaks.
Meanwhile, a separate leak from a retailer in Finland has revealed potential storage variants for both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to the listing, Samsung may stick to its existing memory lineup for the Fold series, offering three choices—256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. However, the highest-tier option may be restricted in terms of available color choices, with Blue Shadow possibly excluded from the 1TB model.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the device is expected to arrive in two storage configurations: 256GB and 512GB. Color options reportedly include Jet Black, Coral Red, and Blue Shadow.
In addition to its primary foldables, Samsung is also rumored to launch a more budget-friendly version of its clamshell foldable, dubbed the Galaxy Z Flip FE. This device could come in 128GB and 256GB variants and be offered in minimalistic black and white colorways.
